TORONTO, Ontario—The winner of the 2013 CITT Award of Excellence has been named.

Tracey Raimondo, vice-president, logistics, at Normandin Transit Inc in Napierville, Quebec is this year’s recipient.

Raimondo has been an active member of the logistics community—and of CITT in particular—for a number of years. Raimondo served as CITT chair from 2003-2007 and has been involved with the Montreal area council for 17 years. She also represented CITT on the board of the Canadian Supply Chain Sector Council, and is currently serving on the board of la Commission Développement Économique, as Commissaire Votante, representing the Transport et Logistique Sector for la Vallée-du-Haut-Saint-Laurent.

Prior to joining Normandin, Raimondo was co-owner (along with her brother) of AA Options Transport Consultants. She even has a family background in logistics, being the third generation of her family (after her father and grandfather) to work in transportation.

Raimondo holds a Certificate in Logistics from the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM), her designation from CITT, as well as her CIFFA certification. She shares her knowledge and experience as a mentor in the CITT Mentorship program.

CITT chair of the board Warren Sarafinchan says Raimondo is well deserving of the honour.

“Tracey Raimondo’s leadership and vision has been a driving force for CITT and the logistics industry both nationally and especially in Quebec. In a year where we had many strong nominations, CITT is proud to recognize Tracey with this prestigious award.”

She will be presented with the 2013 Award of Excellence at the Gala Awards Dinner held during the National Conference on Supply Chain and Logistics presented by CITT on Tuesday, November 5, 2013.
