CALGARY, Alberta–Canadian Freightways is beating the odds.
Numbers and statistics, including those released by the Canadian Trucking Alliance and the Conference Board of Canada indicate there is a shortage of truck drivers—especially younger drivers—and that keeping them on staff is becoming more and more difficult.
But by using innovative approaches to rewarding, motivating and hiring employees, executives at the Calgary, Alberta based LTL company say it’s easy for them to find new people and keep their existing workers employed and happy.
