Who’s on the move this week [August 14, 2012]

Phil Prain Jr has been named chief technology officer at Intelligent Global Pooling Systems (iGPS). He joins the Orlando, Florida-based plastic pallet rental company after working at logistics service provider Martin-Brower, where he was vice-president of European operations. Jack Sparn, who served as the chief information officer at iGPS is the company’s new chief innovation officer.

Wayne Angelbeck is retiring as treasurer of Penske Truck Leasing Company LP (PTL) in the first quarter of 2013. At that point, he will have been with the Reading, Pennsylvania-based company for 30 years. Replacing him will be Scott Cebul who is joining PTL as vice-president and treasurer. Although new to PTL, Cebul worked in the parent organization, Penske Corp as treasurer. In other Penske news, Becky Nester was promoted to vice-president of investor relations and assistant treasurer for PTL.

Panalpina has a new chief information officer. Rod Angwin will start with the company in his new role on September 3. At that point, acting corporate IT officer, Guenther Denk will act as manager of the operations transformation program and will be able to focus his efforts on the program’s SAP TM solution—an integrated operations application for the transport industry.
