Who’s on the move this week [August 20, 2013]

Toronto, Ontario-based Livingston International, a customs brokerage and trade compliance firm, has a new CEO. Steven Preston has stepped into the role after the retirement of Peter Luit.

Jason Farley, Trailer Wizards

Mississauga, Ontario-based Trailer Wizards Ltd has appointed Jason Farley as parts manager for the Quebec region. He will be responsible for purchasing parts, balancing inventory and launching retail parts sales in the company’s Montreal and Quebec City locations.

Kuehne + Nagel International AG has promoted Detlef Trefzger to the role of CEO. Trefzger has been responsible for the Hamburg, Germany-based company’s contract and integrated logistics operations since March 2013. Prior to joining Kuehne + Nagel he was a member of the executive board of Schenker AG.

Betty Sutton, a former US congresswoman was appointed administrator of the US Department of Transportation’s Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation (SLSDC).

Isabel McCabe has been hired by Chicago, Illinois-based VoiteQ as its senior vice-president of operations. She will be responsible for developing partner relationships and growing revenue for the voice-directed systems supplier.

Adept Technology, headquartered in Pleasanton, California has made a number of executive appointments. Larry Anderson is the robot and autonomous mobile solution provider’s new vice-president of mobile sales. Merrill Apter has been hired as the vice-president of North American Sales. Terry Hannon was named as vice-president of business development and corporate strategy and Hai Chang has been promoted to vice-president of Asia and strategic programs.

San Francisco, California-based Menlo Worldwide Logistics has promoted Susan Santo to the positioin of senior director and chief counsel.

Mike Fouts has joined Joliet, Illinois-based Prosperio Group as a consultant. Prosperio offers human resources and management consulting services for the transportation and logistics industry.

Ivo Aris, CH Robinson

Eden Prairie, Minnesota-based CH Robinson Worldwide Inc has appointed Ivo Aris as the director of global forwarding for CH Robinson Europe. Aris is chair of the Dutch Airfreight Forwarders’ Association.

The American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) has selected two members to serve on its board of directors. Alan Dunn is the chair-elect and William Bickert is the treasurer.

Salt Lake City, Utah-based Park City Group, a company that provides cloud-based supply chain solutions, has hired William Wolfe as a senior advisor. He will be responsible for developing business solutions, consulting with clients and growing retail channel sales.
