The Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development’s (OECD) International Transport Forum has a new secretary-general. José Viegas is a Portuguese professor of civil engineering and chair of transport consultancy firm TIS.pt. He was elected secretary general by representatives of the forum’s 54 member countries.
Bernard Jiang has taken on the newly created role of China supply chain and healthcare logistics director for UPS. He will direct the supply chain solutions, development and logistics teams in China and will oversee warehousing, supplier and ground freight management, and will manage UPS China’s network. He is based in Shanghai and reports to Craig Foster, senior vice-president, supply chain and healthcare logistics, Asia Pacific region.
Redlands, California-based GIS software company Esri has promoted Wolfgang Hall to the position of global industry solutions manager for logistics and supply chain management. He will be looking for new opportunities to help customers use GIS mapping in the supply chain.
