Who’s on the move this week [August 6, 2013]

Marc Meier is the new president of Kuehne + Nagel Canada. He began working for Kuehne + Nagel in Germany in 1991 and has held management roles in the company’s operations in Germany, the UK and the US. In his most recent position, he was a member of Kuehne + Nagel’s regional management team in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Mississauga, Ontario-based materials handling solution provider Dematic Ltd has hired Kurt Witteman as its new regional account manager. He will be responsible for workign with clients located in the Central Ontario corridor and providing automation and software solutions for the company’s customers. Witteman has over 25 years of experience in the industry.

Dan Row has joined Nomad Temporary Housing, as senior vice-president of global operations. He will be responsible for managing the global supply chain for Nomad and for leading all its operational departments. Nomad is a San Diego, California-based company that finds clients temporary apartments throughout the world.

TotalTrax Inc has appointed Frank Cavallaro as its new CEO. Cavallaro is the founder of Fronetics Strategic Advisors, a consulting company specializing in global technology distribution, supply chain, reverse logistics, after-market services and electronics asset disposal industries. Based in Newport, Delaware, TotalTrax provides real-time vehicle, driver and inventory tracking technologies for manufacturing and warehouse operations.

Nick Hannigan has been promoted to the position of vice-president of corporate development at Echo Global Logistics Inc. He will be responsible for developing and executing strategic acquisitions and partnerships at the Chicago, Illinois-based transportation and supply chain management services provider.

Princeton, New Jersey-based Biggins Lacy Shapiro & Company, an economics consulting firm, has appointed Michelle Comerford as project director and industrial and supply chain practice leader. She will advise the company’s clients on location decisions and incentives strategies, focusing on the manufacturing and distribution sectors.

Jason Kelley is the new plant manager at Akro-Mils’ Sandusky, Ohio manufacturing facility. Akro-Mils makes plastic storage bins and organization systems.
