Who’s on the move this week? [Feb 2, 2012]

James (Jim) Wilson has been named to the board of the St Lawrence Seaway Management Corp. He will act as a representative of the steel and iron ore industries, and will serve on the Cornwall, Ontario-based board for a term of three years. Wilson is general manager, raw materials for ArcelorMittal Dofasco Inc. He has also served as director and president of Wabush Resources Inc and as a director for both the Arnaud Railway and the Wabush Lake Railway.

Jervis B Webb Company, a subsidiary of Daifuku Webb Holding Company, has two new vice-presidents of project management. The Farmington Hills, Michigan-based company has given Bill Kline responsibility for airport baggage and handling and has put Tom Pawlowicz in charge of factory/distribution automation. Previously, both were executive directors of project management. Jervis B Webb is a developer of material handling technology such as automatic guided vehicles (AGVs), conveyors, baggage handling systems, bulk handling systems and automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS).

In related news, Salt Lake City, Utah-based Daifuku America Corp, also a subsidiary of Daifuku Webb Holding Company, has named Ryan Petrie as systems sales engineer for the company’s factory and distribution automation team. He will be responsible for expanding the company’s AS/RS and conveyor business in North America. Petrie worked at Dematic/HK Systems and Portman Equipment.
