Who’s on the move this week [May 7, 2012]

There are a number of personnel changes at CN. Vee Kachroo is vice-president supply chain solutions. Besides supply chain operations, he will be responsible for iron ore and automotive. He will work out of Montreal. Doug MacDonald is vice-president industrial products and will be based in Montreal. He will oversee forest products, metals and mineral markets. Fiona Murray is vice-president corporate marketing and will work in Montreal. Paul Waite, who was vice-president intermodal has retired, and Keith Reardon now holds the title. He will be based in Toronto and oversee all aspects of intermodal activities. All appointments are effective immediately.

Michael Vorwerk has resigned from the Cargo Network Services Corp (CNS) division of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). By doing so, he will end his term as president of CNS, and as executive director of the IATA special interest group Cargo 2000 (C2K). He will return to Lufthansa Cargo as director of sales development for Germany. He will also serve as a board representative for Air Cargo Gateway Frankfurt.

David Schanzer, Purfresh

Fremont, California-based fresh food supply chain management company Purfresh Inc has appointed David Schanzer to the board of directors. Schanzer is CEO of Plumrose USA Inc, a subsidiary of Danish Crown.

American Systems, a Chantilly, Virginia-based government IT solutions provider, named John Manning as vice-president of acquisitions and logistics strategic business. He will lead the company’s advisory services practice for customers with large acquisitions and supply chain programs.
