Rosemary Marr, founder of Transera, has been named as chief executive officer of Totran Transportation Services Ltd. Calgary, Alberta-based Totran specializes in heavy-haul transportation, mainly for the energy sector.
Ottawa, Ontario-based Nav Canada, which provides air traffic control, flight information, weather briefings, aeronautical information services, airport advisory services and electronic aids to navigation, has made a number of management appointments. Rudy Kellar moves from the role of vice-president of operations to the position of executive-vice-president of service delivery. Larry Lachance, formerly assistant vice-president of operations support will take over Kellar’s former role of vice-president, operations. Kim Troutman was named vice-president of engineering and Charles Lapointe is now vice-president of technical operations. Neil Wilson was promoted from vice-president, general counsel and corporate secretary to executive vice-president (administration) and general counsel. In addition to his legal services duties, he will be responsible for contracting, logistics and fleet, insurance and risk management, corporate services, human resources, labour relations, and customer and commercial services. Brian Aitken will become chief financial officer and executive vice-president of finance. Raymond Bohn has been appointed vice-president of revenue and John Wild was named treasurer. All appointments are effective as of December 1, 2012.
Matt Van Der Linde was named to the position of vice-president and general manager of Atlas World Group Inc’s newly created Atlas World Group (AWG) Logistics division. Based in Evansville, Indiana AWG Logistics is a non-asset based 3PL. Van der Linde will also also oversee the Atlas Specialized Transport Group (STG), an asset-based, less-than-truckload carrier of AWG Logistics.
The American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA) has a new chair. Armando Duarte-Peláez, who is owner and president of Association Dupela-Duaga Ltda, a mining and freight transportation consultancy, and who serves as a board member of Colombia’s Sociedad Portuaria de Santa Marta, was installed in the role during the association’s annual convention. Gaétan Boivin, president and CEO of the Trois-Rivières Port Authority, was installed as chair of the Canadian delegation. Bernie Dumas, president and CEO of the Nanaimo Port Authority is the Canadian delegation’s new chair-elect. Adolph Ojard, executive director for the Duluth Seaway Port Authority was named as the AAPA’s US delegation chair. Tay Yoshitani, the Port of Seattle’s executive director now serves as chair-elect, and Port of San Diego executive director Wayne Darbeau is the US delegation’s new vice-chair. Alejandro Couttolenc, gerente de comercialización for Administración Portuaria Integral de Veracruz, Mexico was named chair of the Latin America delegation while Rodolfo Sabonge, vice-president of market research and analysis for the Panama Canal Authority was named vice-chair for Latin America. Orlando Forbes, port director for the Freeport Harbour Company (Bahamas), will serve chair for the Caribbean delegation.

Washington, DC-based Secor Group, a logistics and military services company, has appointed Don Keninitz as senior-vice-president of finance and administration. Secor Group includes a number of business units including Security Storage Company of Washington, Federal Forwarding, Security International Logistics, DD&S Express, and DD&S Brokerage.
