Who’s on the move this week [September 17, 2013]

Irvin Kovar is the new vice-president of sales at Automation Associates. The Mississauga, Ontario-based software company produces RF Pathways WMS.

Mirissa Caldarola has been hired by the Toronto, Ontario-based Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA)—the industry association created by the merger of SCL and PMAC—to serve as events co-ordinator. She held a similar position at SCL.

The Transportation Technology Center Inc, the Pueblo, Colorado-based subsidiary of the Association of American Railroads, has added two members to its board of directors: Jim Vena and Christopher Liucci. Vena is executive vice-president and CEO of CN. Liucci is chief accounting officer and global controller of Genesee & Wyoming Inc.

Nate Rosier has joined Carmel, Indian-based consulting and IT services firm enVista as senior director of the supply chain solutions team.

Newport, Delaware-based TotalTrax Inc, a provider of vehicle, driver and inventory tracking technology, has appointed Anthony Andriano as chief financial officer.

West Reading, Pennsylvania-based distribution consulting firm Fortna has named Alan Winegar as its vice-president of supply chain services. His practice will include chain execution software for warehouse management, transportation, and labour.

Karl-Rudolph Rupprecht, Lufthansa

Matthews, North Carolina-based discount retailer Family Dollar Stores Inc has hired Jeffrey Macak as executive vice-president, supply chain. Before joining the company he was vice-president, global supply chain, for Bed Bath & Beyond.

Fast food chain Del Taco, which is based in Lake Forest, California, has named Eric Grundmeier as vice-president of supply chain and quality assurance. His previous position was vice-president of supply chain and quality assurance for Qdoba Restaurant Corporation, which operates the Qdoba Mexican Grill restaurants.

Karl-Rudolph Rupprecht has been reappointed as executive board member, operations, Lufthansa Cargo AG. He is responsible for the flight operations and transport management, freight handling, security and environmental management divisions. He will continue in the role until March 31, 2016.
