Intelligrated appointed Tom Tobin as senior sales manager for its Midwest regional operations. Based in the company’s Woodridge, Illinois office, Tobin helps lead business development efforts and manage the Midwest regional sales team. Tobin leverages more than 30 years of professional experience in his new role, with an equipment-focused background in robotics and industrial automation. He reports to Chuck Harris, vice president, Midwest regional sales and operations. Before joining Intelligrated, Tobin held executive-level positions for various companies providing robotics and material handling systems. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Grand Valley State University, where he also served as an advisory board member for the School of Engineering. Tobin is involved in the Robotic Industries Association, with past experience serving on the board of directors.
UniCarriers Americas Corporation (UCA) grows its business in Brazil by appointing Anderson Silva to logistics coordinator and Rafael Nishino to coordinator of planning and purchases for its South American subsidiary, UniCarriers Corporation South America (UCSA). As the logistics coordinator, Silva is responsible for coordinating all of UCSA’s truck orders and logistics jobs, including trucks and parts importation, inbound processing and working with brokers and freight forwarders. Before joining UCSA, Silva worked for Fiat do Brasil S/A as a foreign trade leader. Silva earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Unopec Butant, São Paolo. He also has an MBA in foreign trade and international business.
He speaks Portuguese and English. As the planning and purchases coordinator, Nishino is responsible for coordinating and planning spare parts orders of the complementary supplies for the office and warehouses, as well as developing local suppliers to provide better customer service for dealers and end users. Nishino acquired planning and purchasing experience while working for Hyundai Motors, Bombardier Recreational Products and Honda Motorcycle da Amazônia. Nishino earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanics from Paulista University in São Paulo, Brazil. In addition to Portuguese, Nishino is also fluent in English and Japanese.
