Johanne Choinière has been appointed Chief Operating Officer at Dollarama, effective May 12, 2014. In this role, Ms. Choinière will be responsible for overseeing retail store operations as well as logistics, distribution and supply chain management. Since 1999, she was employed at Metro Inc., where she held increasingly senior positions across the organization, including Senior Vice President, Merchandising for Metro Ontario and, most recently, Senior Vice President of Metro’s Ontario Division.

Intelligrated has three new additions in its Brazilian office. Eduardo Tedesco is general director, Ricardo Viana is senior sales engineer and Claudio Meirelles is operations manager. With more than 20 years of experience managing international sales and engineering design teams, Tedesco is responsible for sales and operational strategies to expand business in Brazil. Before joining Intelligrated, he held business development and consulting roles for multinational technology and material handling firms. Viana provides additional technical sales support for the region, bringing more than 15 years of sales and engineering experience in key vertical markets. Drawing on more than 15 years of technical project management and engineering experience, Meirelles provides operational, financial and managerial support for the Brazilian office.

Erich Bodenmann, Executive Vice President (EVP) Group Services at Swissport International, will retire and leave the company by the end of April. Luzius Wirth took over responsibility for Group Services effective 17th April 2014. In his new role as Senior Vice President Group Services, Luzius Wirth will directly report to Per Utnegaard, Group President & CEO of Swissport International.

Red Arrow Logistics, a logistics and transportation company, has named supply chain management expert Garrett Bradham as VP Global Markets. With expertise in inventory management, process improvement, sourcing and project management, Garrett has extensive supply chain consulting experience with clients in industries such as manufacturing, retail, travel and hospitality. Most recently a global sourcing manager for InterContinental Hotels Group, Garrett was responsible for the exploration of international sourcing solutions to save operating costs and improve process efficiencies. Fluent in English, Russian and Italian, he has lived and traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia.
