Retail Council of Canada (RCC) has appointed Michel Rochette as the president of RCC Quebec’s office, effective December 20, 2021. Rochette was recently vice-president of public affairs and government relations for the CPQ (Conseil du Patronat du Quebec) and before that held several senior positions with National public relations. Rochette brings in-depth knowledge and understanding of public policy and business issues affecting the retail sector in Quebec.
Groupe Morneau has appointed Marie Josée Drouin as senior director of technology and information (CIO). Drouin is a mechanical engineer by training, with a master’s degree in technology management and several professional certifications (PMP and PSPO). She has 30 years’ experience in technology and information management. Drouin joins the organization’s management committee. Marc Sourdif moves from information technology manager to the newly created position of project office manager.
American Trucking Associations
The American Trucking Associations has named John Lynch president of the ATA Trucking Cares Foundation, the trucking industry’s charitable arm. Lynch was senior vice-president of federation relations and industry affairs. “This is a great day for the Trucking Cares Foundation, as we move forward with a renewed mission for our industry’s charitable efforts – playing an important role in supporting disaster relief efforts, community programs and a vast array of worthy causes,” said ATA President and CEO Chris Spear. “I’m excited to welcome John Lynch as the president of the Foundation, and believe he is the right person to take the organization’s efforts to the next level.”
Bodo Schlenker has been appointed divisional director software solutions at Beumer Group. After graduating, Schlenker started his career at a software company for automation and warehouse management systems. Subsequently he has held senior positions at intralogistics specialists Kion Group and Vanderlande.
