Appointments, promotions, moves and changes in the supply chain sector this week

In a senior management shakeup, Michael Witynski has been promoted to enterprise president of Dollar Tree, Inc. and will lead the merchandising, store operations, and supply chain functions for the Dollar Tree and Family Dollar business segments. Witynski will continue to report to Gary Philbin, CEO of Dollar Tree, Inc. Richard McNeely has been promoted to chief merchandising officer of Dollar Tree, Inc., and will lead the merchandising, marketing, and global sourcing functions for the Dollar Tree and Family Dollar business segments. McNeely reports to Witynski. Thomas O’Boyle, Jr. has been promoted to COO of Dollar Tree, Inc., and will lead the store operations and real estate functions for the Dollar Tree and Family Dollar business segments. He will be focused on optimizing real estate, improving customer experience, and addressing recent issues around inventory shrink. O’Boyle will also report to Witynski.

Vicki O’Meara

Vicki O’Meara, executive chairman at AdSwerve, Inc., and former CEO of Analytics Pros, Inc., has been selected to join the Black & Veatch board of directors. A former U.S. Justice Department assistantattorney general and White House Fellow, O’Meara was most recently CEO of Analytics Pros, Inc., a digital analytics startup. She served in several executive leadership roles with Pitney Bowes including as president of Pitney Bowes Services Solutions. Previously, she held leadership positions including general counsel, chief of corporate operations and president of U.S. supply chain solutions with Ryder Systems. O’Meara served four years with the U.S. Army, including as lead counsel on Environmental Litigation Matters, and held roles in the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and later as assistant attorney general in the Department of Justice. She currently serves on the State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company Board.

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. has announced the planned succession of the top leadership for J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc.’s Intermodal business unit. Effective April 1, 2020, Terry Matthews will retire from his current duties as executive vice president and president of Intermodal. Darren Field will formally assume this role on that date.
