Groupe Morneau
Groupe Morneau announced several appointments within its Circle of Leaders, marking a new chapter in the evolution of the organization and the strengthening of its leadership team.
As part of these changes, Groupe Morneau welcomed Nancy St-Laurent as vice-president, sales; Caroline Huot has been appointed vice-president, human resources; and Anouk Petit has been appointed vice-president, communications, marketing and customer experience.
“These appointments reflect the confidence we place in leaders who embody our values and vision. Their expertise and approach will directly contribute to our continued growth and the development of our organization,” said Catherine Morneau, co-president of Groupe Morneau.
Montreal Port Authority
The Montreal Port Authority (MPA) announced the appointment of Paul Bird as president and chief executive officer, effective June 8. Bird most recently served as chief commercial officer of the MPA until March 2026.
A graduate in applied geology, Bird has extensive experience managing large-scale projects. Having joined the MPA in 2020 as senior director of the Contrecœur expansion project and later serving as chief commercial officer, he played a key role in securing environmental permits, finalizing design and engineering, developing partnership agreements and initiating preparatory work for the terminal project. He previously spent nearly 10 years overseeing infrastructure for the mining, rail and port sectors at ArcelorMittal.
Vancouver Fraser Port Authority
The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority announced the appointment of Jeff Scott as vice-president of operations and supply chain.
Scott has more than 30 years of experience working in ports, including across marine terminals, transportation, logistics and industrial operations. Most recently he served as board chair and interim president of Fibreco Exports, and president and CEO for trucking company Coastal Pacific Xpress. At Coastal Xpress he oversaw a strategy focused on renewal, growth and long-term success as the business prepared to be sold. He has also previously served as president and CEO of Port of Vancouver terminal Fraser Surrey Docks, leading the terminal’s diversification into the handling of bulk products and overseeing its successful sale to current operator DP World.
