Kinaxis, an end-to-end supply chain planning and orchestration company, announced the appointment of Kristin Russel as chief marketing officer (CMO). Russel will lead Kinaxis’ global marketing organization, overseeing marketing strategy, corporate and market positioning, digital and brand marketing, communications and go-to-market initiatives.

A tenured marketing executive and recognized industry leader, Russel brings experience scaling technology companies and building high impact brands. She joins Kinaxis from symplr, where she served as chief marketing officer and led the development and execution of the company’s comprehensive marketing strategy across branding, digital and product marketing, public relations, community outreach programs, channel partnerships and business development.

METRO Inc.

METRO Inc. has appointed Marc Giroux, currently chief operating officer, to succeed Eric La Flèche, who is retiring as president and CEO effective Sept. 27.

Giroux joined METRO in 2009 and currently leads the Québec and Ontario food divisions as well as supply chain, marketing, loyalty and digital strategy. Over the course of his career with the Company, he has held progressively senior roles spanning marketing, merchandising and operations as well as digital and eCommerce. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and international commerce as well as an MBA, both from HEC Montréal.

Fuel Transport

Fuel Transport announced the appointment of Sana Chaarani as vice-president of technology, reinforcing the company’s investment in tech and digital infrastructure.

In this role, Chaarani will lead Fuel’s tech strategy, digital transformation, IT operations and cybersecurity agenda to support the company’s intelligent logistics network that is built for modern supply chains.

With more than 25 years of experience spanning enterprise IT, architecture and large-scale transformation initiatives, Chaarani brings expertise in building scalable technology foundations, leading complex modernization programs and aligning technology strategy with operational and business outcomes.
