The Port Innovators Network (PIN), the first global network of port innovation hubs, welcomes Cubo Maritime & Port to the membership.
PIN is a global network of innovation hubs for ports, which aims to drive innovation adoption in the global port system by connecting communities of innovation centers, such as startups, entrepreneurs, companies, researchers, universities, and investors, to share innovative ideas, project results, innovation experiences, methodologies and best practices.
Established in October 2023 by the Port of Hamburg (homePORT), the Port of Halifax (The PIER) and the Port of Valencia (Opentop), PIN is connecting port innovation hubs around the world.
The PIER is Canada’s first living lab dedicated to transportation, supply chain and logistics industries. The PIER – Port Innovation, Engagement and Research – is where key supply chain partners at the Port of Halifax can choose to collaborate to solve complex problems. Partners are focused on co-creating, testing and accelerating solutions that benefit Canada’s economy, the environment and local community in the following focus areas.
Cubo Maritime & Port is the innovation initiative at Cubo Itaú in Brazil, an initiative by Cubo Itaú in partnership with Wilson Sons, Porto do Açu and Hidrovias do Brasil, which aims to create the largest innovation hub in the port sector in Latin America.
Since its formation, PIN has hosted three “PINsight” events, bringing together the diverse memberships out of Valencia, Hamburg and Halifax to link port industry innovators sharing learnings on the latest trends and developments.
PIN now extends across three continents as it grows the global alliance of port innovators.
