UPS is investing more than $2 billion across its international, healthcare and supply chain businesses to give customers faster service and more control as trade routes. The investments began in 2024 and will continue through 2028.
The company is building new facilities in several regions, including a new hub at Clark Airport in the Philippines expected to open in late 2026, a new Canadian facility in Barrie, Ontario in 2027, and a new air hub at Hong Kong International Airport in 2028. UPS said these projects support growth in sectors such as healthcare, high‑tech, automotive and industrial manufacturing.
“Customers need end‑to‑end logistics that match their requirements for visibility, speed and ease,” said Kate Gutmann, executive vice‑president and president of International, Healthcare and Supply Chain Solutions at UPS. “These investments allow us to bring air, ground, brokerage and distribution together in one solution, with fewer handoffs, more control and less complexity.”
It has expanded temperature‑controlled freight facilities, added automation at sites in Taiwan and South Korea, and opened a logistics centre in Amsterdam that combines freight, brokerage and cold‑chain services. The company also increased capacity in its Asia air network and added flights between Paris and Hong Kong and between Shenzhen and Sydney.
“UPS didn’t just help us move products. They helped us navigate the challenges that came with growth,” said Adam Liu, chief supply chain officer at Anker.
