HALIFAX, Novas Scotia—Imperial Oil says it has started supplying gasoline again in Nova Scotia after a shortage of the fuel delayed deliveries across the province.
Merle MacIsaac, director of public affairs, says in a news release that gas was being trucked to retail sites as of 8 a.m. today.
However, an executive with an independent retailer that buys gas from Imperial says he expects it will take the rest of the week for supplies to reach all of his chain’s 55 stations after weekend shortages.
David Collins, vice-president of Wilson Fuel Co. Ltd., says there was an arrival of a cargo ship on Saturday to replenish Imperial’s tanks.
MacIsaac wasn’t available for comment on the reason for the delays.
