THOROLD, Ontario—The latest EcoMaxx forklifts from the Starke Material Handling Group are built to handle loads ranging from 3,630kg (8,000lbs) to 9,980kg (22,000lbs) and come with both diesel and gas/LPG engines

The gas/LPG motor is a 4.3L from GM that puts out 122hp at 3,000 rpm. The six cylinder produces 310 pound-feet of torque, also at 3,000 rpm.

The EcoMaxx line offers a choice between three different diesels: a 3.3L Cummins (99hp at 2,200 rpm and 306 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm), a 4.5L Cummins (110hp at 2,200 rpm and 360 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm) and a 4.4L Perkins (75hp at 2,200 rpm and 192 pound-feet of torque 1,900 rpm). Both Cummins are rated as EPA Tier 4, while the Perkins is an EPA Tier 3 engine.

Features include a solid overhead guard, hydrostatic steering, a full suspension seat, and a wide-view mast.

Maximum lifting height is 3,000mm (118in) while maximum lifting speed is 350mm per second (14 inches per second) for the gas engined forklifts and 500mm per second (20 inches per second) for the diesels.

All versions come with pneumatic tires.
