Air Canada Cargo has started offering daily service to Yellowknife, connecting Calgary, Vancouver and Edmonton, starting May 5. The flights are operated by Air Canada Jazz and include AC Expedair cargo service. The carrier is also expanding its network to over a dozen new cities this year, including Brussels, Athens, Barcelona and Copenhagen.

Software vendor RedPrairie has acquired on-demand inventory and warehouse management system (WMS) provider SmartTurn. SmartTurn’s Inventory and WMS solution will be rebranded as RedPrairie’s On-Demand WMS.

Rail information services provider RMI has signed a new five-year agreement with Southern Railway of British Columbia (SRY Rail Link) for use of RMI’s RailConnect, a program that will help the shortline integrate its operations with those of its customers.

The Ranger Group of Companies, a Mississauga, Ontario-based supply chain solutions provider, has introduced a weekly LTL service to and from California and the surrounding areas.
