Ottawa, Ontario—The Canadian Industrial Transportation Association has become to the Freight Management Association of Canada (FMA) | association canadienne de gestion du fret (AGF).

The Association, The National Voice of the Shipper, has represented the interests of the Canadian shipper community to all levels of government, international agencies, carrier groups and other stakeholders continuously since 1916. The association’s exclusive focus is on freight transportation issues for shippers using marine, rail, truck and air transport.

As a result of extensive market research carried out over the past year, the Association decided that the new name and logo better reflects the objectives of the Association, the demographics and activities of its members and will bring the terminology into the 21st Century. FMA will continue to be the respected voice for the shipper community in Canada in an ever-changing global economy.
