Polaris Transportation Group has launched its first Community Impact Day, with employees delivering more than 5,000 pounds of food to 11 food banks and community organizations across Ontario and Quebec. The initiative saw team members shop for and deliver food in 10 communities, including Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Hamilton and Kitchener.
The donations were made to organizations including the Ottawa Food Bank, Parkdale Community Food Bank, Barrie Food Bank and Guelph Food Bank. According to the company, the program was created to address food insecurity in the communities where employees live and work.
“Community Impact Day represents the next chapter of our commitment to giving back,” said Dave Cox, CEO of Polaris Transportation Group. “Every day, we help move goods across North America but our greatest purpose is helping people.”

The initiative builds on Polaris’ Community Care Unit, which was launched in 2023. Since then, the program has visited more than 35 food banks and non-profit organizations and transported and donated more than 60,000 pounds of food and essential goods across Ontario and the United States.
“To see that idea grow into Community Impact Day, with our team coming together across multiple communities to shop for and deliver food, has been incredibly meaningful,” said Brenda Brajkovich, director of marketing and Community Care Unit program director at Polaris Transportation Group.
