Polaris Transportation Group to support Ronald McDonald House Toronto deliveries

Polaris Transportation Group is partnering with Ronald McDonald House Toronto to provide logistics support through its Community Care Unit, helping deliver meals and essential supplies to families with children receiving hospital care across Ontario.

The transportation company said the initiative will support Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, as well as hospitals in Mississauga, Markham, Scarborough and Sudbury. Deliveries will include meals and supplies prepared by Ronald McDonald House Toronto’s culinary and operations teams.

“We’re honoured to put our logistics expertise to work through the Community Care Unit to support the incredible work of Ronald McDonald House Toronto,” said Dave Cox, CEO of Polaris Transportation Group. “If we can help with their logistics needs and play a role in advancing their mission, then it reinforces why we do what we do. We are proud to do our part in making a meaningful difference across our communities.”

Polaris launched the Community Care Unit in 2023 to deliver donated food and essential supplies to food banks, shelters, soup kitchens and community food programs across the Greater Toronto Area, Southern Ontario and the United States.

Ronald McDonald House Toronto, established in 1981, provides accommodations, meals and support services to families with seriously ill or injured children receiving medical treatment away from home.
