Gideon has launched TREY, an autonomous forklift designed to automate trailer loading and unloading operations in warehouses, distribution centres and manufacturing facilities.
The company said the system can load and unload trailers from the first pallet to the last while adapting to varying trailer types, pallet configurations and dock conditions. TREY is capable of handling more than 119 load carrier types and can move up to 28 single- or double-stacked pallets or cages per hour.
According to Gideon, the autonomous forklift uses a physical AI platform combining image-based perception, machine learning and sensor fusion to identify cargo, equipment and obstacles while operating on warehouse floors and loading docks.
TREY is commercially available across North America and is currently deployed in automotive manufacturing facilities, food and beverage distribution centres and third-party logistics operations.
