Metro Supply Chain operates contract logistics services across Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom, serving sectors including retail, consumer goods, automotive, healthcare, technology and the public sector.
According to Nippon Express, the acquisition strengthens its North American logistics network, expands its contract logistics capabilities and enhances its ability to provide end-to-end supply chain services. The company said it also plans to use Metro’s fulfillment and warehouse automation expertise to support contract logistics operations across its global network.
Nippon Express said the combined organizations will pursue cross-selling opportunities and expand international transportation, customs brokerage and distribution services for customers.
