Menlo signs DC management deal

SAN FRANCISCO, California—Conway Inc’s Menlo Worldwide Logistics subsidiary Menlo Worldwide Logistics will now be responsible for managing the North American warehousing and distribution services behind the iPath and New Balance footwear brands.

Menlo is doing the work on behalf of Amesbury, Massachusetts-based Klone Lab, which licenses and designs the skateboarding shoes and sandal lines.

The goods will be housed in Menlo’s new 8,362sqm (90,000sqf) multi-client distribution centre, which is located in Fontana, California. Klone’s 3,000 SKUs of shoes, clothing and accessories will occupy approximately half of the building—4,181sqm (45,000sqf).

“We had to take our supply chain to the next level in North America as our business has grown. We needed a logistics provider with the expertise, IT capabilities and flexibility that’s critical to staying competitive,” said Matt Palma, president and chief operating officer of Klone Lab, adding Menlo has “transitioned us to the new space quickly and seamlessly”.
