Top Fleet Employers honours workforce leaders in trucking and logistics

Trucking HR Canada recognized 98 organizations for workplace excellence during its 2026 Top Fleet Employers Awards Gala in Toronto, celebrating employers that have demonstrated strong human resources practices, workforce development programs and employee engagement initiatives across the trucking and logistics sector.

The annual program evaluates fleets on criteria including recruitment, retention, training, workplace culture, compensation, employee engagement and leadership. Employee feedback, including input from drivers, also forms part of the assessment process.

In a special presentation, Lynne Harkness, vice-president of people and culture at 4Refuel, was named HR Leader of the Year. Trucking HR Canada said the award recognizes a human resources professional who exemplifies best practices and serves as a role model within the sector.

“Every Top Fleet Employer has earned this recognition by putting people at the centre of their business,” said Angela Splinter, president and CEO of Trucking HR Canada. “Tonight, we celebrate all 98 fleets for their leadership in building strong workplaces and honour this year’s award winners for setting an outstanding example for our sector.”

The Top Fleet Employers program is now in its 13th year and serves as a national benchmark for human resources excellence in Canada’s trucking and logistics industry. Applications for the 2027 program are now open.
