Who’s on the move: April 10, 2017

Kevin Maynard has stepped down from his position as executive director of the Canadian Supply Chain Sector Council (CSCSC) after serving in that role for almost 11 years. Maynard is replaced by Pat Campbell. Maynard joined the Council as its first executive director in June 2006. During his leadership, the Council undertook numerous projects to develop tools and resources for the Canadian supply chain sector. Campbell was project manager in the development of the Council’s Connector Skills-Matching Tool. She brings a wealth of sector council experience to her new role, having worked on national projects for the Council for Automotive Human Resources (CAHR) and the Electricity Sector Council. Her professional background in organizational development, change management and stakeholder engagement spans over 25 years.

Deirdre Rains

Cando Rail Services, an international service provider of rail support services, has hired Deirdre Rains as its new business development director in the United States. Rains has a 24 year career in rail transportation management in the agriculture industry, including railcar fleet management, negotiating rail and truck equipment leases, negotiating rail freight pricing, and managing transportation safety programs and corporate insurance. Most recently, Rains was The Mosaic Company’s project manager for a switching and mechanical services contract, which was awarded to Cando. Rains has a master’s degree in education and spent 10 years as a high school educator.

Tony Little will assume the role of director of operations for Suddath Hospitality Solutions. Little brings with him nearly 30 years in the relocation and transportation industry. Most recently, he served as the managing director of hospitality services for the Kane Company in Washington, D.C., where he grew the hospitality business with annual revenues exceeding $13 million. In his new role, Little will drive standardization across the core hospitality functions of warehousing, delivery and installation with a high degree of focus on inventory management and client access to information throughout the project delivery process.
