Who’s on the move: August 30, 2021

Synergy

Rich Pirotta (LinkedIn image)

Synergy, which produces SnapFulfil WMS, has hired Rich Pirrotta as CEO. Pirotta has over 30 years’ experience in line executive and management consultant roles for companies including Procter & Gamble, Deloitte and Logicalis across 35 countries worldwide. He has an MBA in financial and operations management from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Chemical Engineering. He is a frequent speaker on leadership, transformation, and business growth, and has had Visiting Professor and Visiting Lecturer roles at Wharton and the University of Michigan MBA programs.

C.H. Robinson

Arun Rajan will be joining C.H. Robinson as chief product officer, effective September 1, 2021. Rajan will report to CEO Bob Biesterfeld and will lead global product development. He brings nearly three decades of product and technology experience to the role, most recently as chief technology officer of Whole Foods Market. Before joining Whole Foods, Rajan was the COO and chief technology officer for Zappos. He was also co-founder and CTO at Intent Media. He earned a BS degree in computer science and an MS degree in information systems management.

ePicker

Alan Dotts

Alan Dotts has been named sales manager responsible for sales and dealer development at ePicker. Previousy, Dotts was sales manager of special products for Toyota Material Handling, where he led the development and sales of AGVs, heavy duty trucks and Aichi aerial platforms. Dotts has more than 20 years of experience working with equipment dealers, and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree.

Finning International

Finning International Inc. has made changes to its leadership team. Tim Ferwerda, currently director of sales, marketing and distribution in the U.K. & Ireland, has stepped into the role of managing director for the UK and Ireland. Ferwerda has been with Finning since 2016. Previously, he held progressively senior roles in sales, after-market and supply chain at Pilkington/NSG Group in the U.K., where he was most recently global commercial director of the automotive division. Managing director for the UK & Ireland, Dave Primrose, has taken on the role of interim chief human resources officer (CHRO), as current CHRO Chad Hiley has resigned from his position. Primrose has deep experience in both operations and HR at Finning, including time as CHRO.
