Who’s on the move this week: May 25, 2015

VersaCold Warehousing Solutions has appointed Moses Akingbade to its business unit leadership team and leader of its Cold Chain Assurances Practices. In this newly created role, Akingbade has responsibility for a national team focused on food safety and quality management, in order to ensure that product entrusted to VersaCold remains safe and high in quality. He joins VersaCold from Denbar Food Group where he held the role of director, quality assurance and food safety. Before that Moses was national manager, food safety programs with Sobey’s Inc. He holds a BSc in Applied Chemistry and Biology from Ryerson University and is a Certified SQF Practitioner.

Russ Mellott has taken the position of vice president, software sales with Intelligrated. Mellott leads sales of Intelligrated warehouse execution systems, labour management software and order picking technologies. Based in Atlanta, he reports to Kevin Roach, executive vice president and general manager, Intelligrated software. During a 25-year career, Mellott has held a variety of sales and executive management positions for software organizations, including Prophet 21 and Activant Solutions. He most recently served as senior vice president of sales for Epicor Software. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from LaSalle University.
Jon Herberger has joined PLS Logistics Services as its Chief Information Officer. Herberger most recently served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Imagitas, a marketing services company that connects marketers with their consumer segments through government communication channels in the US. Before joining Imagitas, he held senior technology management positions at N.E.W. Customer Service Companies Inc. and Electronic Data Systems.
CEVA Logistics has appointed Antonio Fondevilla as executive vice president responsible for the company’s global automotive sector. Automotive accounted for 24 percent of the company’s annual revenue in 2014. Fondevilla has more than 20 years of supply chain management and automotive logistics experience. He joined CEVA in 2008 and most recently served as vice president, global key account management, as well as the company’s interim leader of the European Automotive sector. He began his career with a major global automotive manufacturer. Fondevilla has a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the IESE Business School of Barcelona.
