Ecommerce shipping platform ShipStation has launched four major feature updates aimed at helping businesses reduce costs and improve operational efficiency across their fulfillment processes.
Available now, the new features—Automated Rate Shopping, Returns and Exchanges, Analytics and Inventory and Warehouse Management—extend ShipStation’s capabilities beyond shipping, enabling end-to-end control over logistics.
“As businesses grow, their fulfillment needs evolve,” said Kelly Vincent, chief product officer at Auctane. “These new features, whether used in our platform or our API, represent a significant step in expanding ShipStation’s capabilities beyond shipping, enabling our customers to manage inventory more effectively, find the best shipping rates, streamline returns and gain deeper data-backed insights into their operations.”
The Automated Rate Shopping feature helps online retailers find the most cost-effective and efficient shipping service based on predefined criteria, minimizing manual effort. It’s available to customers in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
A new Returns and Exchanges module includes a branded customer portal, admin dashboard and automation tools that streamline the process and reduce revenue loss from returns. This feature is now live in the U.S. and Canada.
ShipStation also introduced a robust Analytics module with seven dashboards that track performance metrics across shipping, sales, inventory and fulfillment.
Finally, the platform’s upgraded Inventory and Warehouse Management tools add forecasting, purchase ordering, lot tracking and mobile barcode scanning to improve accuracy and speed in stock handling. These enhancements are currently available to customers in the U.S. and Canada.
