Swisslog rebrands monorail system as FastMove

Swisslog has rebranded its monorail pallet transport system as FastMove, highlighting enhancements aimed at improving performance, flexibility and equipment lifecycle for long-distance pallet transport.

The company said FastMove is an electrified monorail system designed to transport palletized goods across warehouse environments. Built on more than 40 years of Swisslog technology, the system is designed to improve material flow over long distances while maintaining high throughput.

According to Swisslog, FastMove can transport pallets at speeds of up to two metres per second and handle more than 600 pallets per hour. The company said the modular system can be scaled by adding vehicles and adapted to changing warehouse layouts with minimal effort.

Swisslog also said the system supports modernization projects by allowing existing installations to be upgraded through software, controls and selected mechatronic improvements rather than requiring a complete replacement. The next product release, expected by the end of 2026, is designed to meet requirements under the European Union Cyber Resilience Act and machinery regulations.

The system is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -30 C to 50 C and can handle loads of up to 1,500 kilograms, or 3,000 kilograms in twin-load configurations. It integrates with the company’s SynQ warehouse software platform.

“FastMove represents the next step in the evolution of monorail technology at Swisslog,” said Giovanni Franco, product manager, pallet transportation at Swisslog. “By combining high performance with modular scalability and cost efficiency, we provide our customers with a future-ready solution that supports growth, modernization and long-term operational excellence.”
