Yale introduces automated counterbalanced stacker to Relay lift truck platform

Yale Lift Truck Technologies has expanded its Yale Relay automated lift truck platform with a new counterbalanced stacker designed to automate pallet handling tasks in warehouse environments.

The company says the new model, which was on display during MODEX 2026, can handle loads of up to 3,300 pounds and reach lift heights of about 13 feet, enabling automation of put-away and retrieval operations from conveyor systems, staging lanes and some low- to mid-level racking applications with minimal changes to existing workflows.

“The automated counterbalanced stacker continues our commitment to bringing the benefits of automation to more warehouse operations,” said Kyle Smart, sales manager for automation at Yale Lift Truck Technologies. “From conveyor picking and putaway to picking up pallets from stretch wrappers, the truck’s vertical capability enables a wide range of common workflows to be automated and unlocks additional labor savings for warehouses.”

Yale says the truck is powered by its Relay automation portal, first introduced with an automated tow tractor model at ProMat 2025, and now enhanced to support configurable pallet placements and location management without requiring warehouse management system integration.

The company says the platform can also integrate with WMS or PLC systems for operations seeking higher throughput.

Yale says the Relay system is designed to reduce implementation complexity, allowing deployment in as little as one day using a drag-and-drop interface that maps facility routes through manual operation of the truck and placement of digital waypoints.

The company also offers a rental model that bundles costs into a monthly fee, removing the need for major upfront capital investment.
