New funding program announced for Atlantic trucking companies

Charlottetown, PE-To assist trucking companies in the Atlantic provinces, the Atlantic Canada Food Export Partnership has initiated a project to help them apply for FAST/C-TPAT [Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism] certification.

The Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association says it is pleased to see this program offered for the trucking industry in Atlantic Canada.

“Through the funding assistance provided by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, the costs to the company to prepare their C-TPAT application will be significantly reduced," says Ralph Boyd, Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association, adding "with the increasing focus on border security, and the trucking industry’s vital role in the supply chain, this program assists not only trucking companies but the whole supply chain."
