TORONTO, Ontario—The Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFFA) presented its new annual award, the Donna Letterio Leadership Award, to Kimberly Anne Gallacher.
Gallacher received a specially designed trophy and her name will be the first to be inscribed on a plaque in the Secretariat office. In addition, this year and every year, CIFFA will donate $1000 to Bladder Cancer Canada.
Th Donna Letterio award is granted annually in memory of CIFFA’s former president, who died in August 2013. The award is open to any woman in international freight forwarding, transportation or global logistics who demonstrates excellence.
Gallacher has worked in international freight forwarding since 1984 and since 1987 in senior roles with CIFFA member firms and is currently employed by Delmar Inc. Current and former employers commend her on the way she shares of her knowledge and experience with colleagues and with the industry.
She is an active member of the CIFFA National Seafreight Committee, has taught in the CIFFA Certificate programs and in the Essentials workshops and lectured at Seneca College. She has been a CIFFA Professional Freight Forwarder (PFF) since 2006.
Gallacher also has a passion for music.
