Graphite One has received a program award from the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency to evaluate advanced carbon materials derived from its Graphite Creek deposit in Alaska for high-temperature defense applications.
The project will assess domestically sourced carbon-based materials for thermal management systems and support efforts to strengthen North American supply chains for critical materials. Graphite One said it will work with Idaho National Laboratory and industry consultants on the initiative.
According to the company, the award is its third defense logistics development agreement since 2023 and forms part of a broader strategy to develop a domestic graphite supply chain.
