April 16, 2018 – Pitney Bowes named former USPS sales and customer relations leader Cliff Rucker as the company’s new vice-president of business development, commerce services. In this role, Rucker is responsible for helping to accelerate ecommerce growth opportunities for Pitney Bowes both domestically and internationally. Rucker retired from the USPS after more than 38 years, recently as senior vice-resident of sales and customer relations.

Leonardo Hanon is now executive vice-president of online freight payment service PayCargo. Hanon is spearheading an air cargo online payment platform for imports in the U.S., as a result of a Partnership Agreement recently signed by Cargo Network Services Corp. (CNS) and PayCargo. He will be dedicated to working with the airlines on integrating accounting and operational systems to communicate directly with the PayCargo-CNS system for real time payment information to be available. Hanon will also be involved in the overall branding and marketing of the solution to the air cargo marketplace.

Jan van Niekerk

SpotSee, an internet of things (IoT) connectivity platform and parent company to logistics monitoring brands ShockWatch, SpotBot, ShockLog, OpsWatch, ShockTrak and WarmMark, has appointed Jan Van Niekerk as the company’s vice-president of engineering and innovation. Van Niekerk brings more than 20 years of expertise in the technical creation, implementation and management of tracking technologies including radio-frequency identification (RFID), the cloud and IoT. Before joining SpotSee, Van Niekerk was the chief technical officer for RF Ops, LLC.  Previously, Van Niekerk was a RFID system designer at Maxim Integrated/Intelleflex. He also worked at Microchip Technology as an applications manager and has a wealth of experience as a programmer, developer and system designer.

Franklin Electric Co., Inc. has appointed Paul Chhabra as vice-president, global product supply. He will be responsible for overseeing the company’s global operations and integrated supply chain, encompassing purchasing, manufacturing, distribution, planning, and logistics. Chhabra has over fifteen years of experience in global supply chain and manufacturing management most recently as the vice-president, global supply chain, semiconductor and service divisions for Applied Material, Inc. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Illinois, a master’s degree and PhD in Engineering from Purdue University, and a MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.
