ORBIS Corporation, a manufacturer of reusable packaging, hired Todd Mathes as vice-president of manufacturing for its plastics operations. With more than 25 years of manufacturing, marketing, sales and new business experience, Mathes was hired to manage a range of manufacturing and supply chain operations activities at ORBIS. Before joining ORBIS, Mathes worked at Berry Plastics Corporation, where he most recently served as the executive vice president for manufacturing operations. Mathes will be based out of the ORBIS headquarters in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

CEVA Logistics appointed Christophe Poitrineau executive vice-president and head of its Italy cluster. Poitrineau has had a long and distinguished career in global logistics and supply chain services and was most recently vice-president Asia at GEFCO Logistics, a role he combined with a six year tenure as managing director GEFCO Italia SPA. He has held other executive roles in both Italy and France. He is based at CEVA’s Milan facility and reports directly to CEO Xavier Urbain.

Nils Pries Knudsen has been appointed chief commercial officer for Swissport International Ltd, a provider of ground and cargo handling services to the aviation industry. He continues to directly report to Eric Born, group president & CEO Swissport International. Knudsen joined Swissport International in January 2009  and was most recently executive vice-president of global cargo.

CRST International Inc, one of the largest privately held transportation companies in the United States, named Hugh Ekberg group president/chief operating officer. Ekberg brings over 25 years of strategic business leadership to the CRST family of companies. Prior to joining CRST, Ekberg served as president – Kitchen & Bath Americas for Kohler Company. Before Kohler, he was division president and a board member at Weitz Company, a full-service general construction and design-build firm. Ekberg holds a Master of Science degree in engineering management from Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering and an MBA in marketing and organizational design from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
