GDI Integrated Facility Services Inc has appointed Stéphane Lavigne, CPA, as senior vice-president and CFO. Lavigne was most recently with IPL Inc, where he was president & CEO following the sale of the company from August 2015 to October 2015. Previously Lavigne was senior vice-president, corporate business development & M&A with Superior Energy Group, a subsidiary of Superior Plus Corp. Lavigne joined Supremex Inc in 1991 and occupied various positions until May 2012. He started his career with KPMG in 1988 and holds a Bachelor degree from Université du Québec à Montréal.
Rod Jones has decided to retire effective March 31st, 2017, after a nine-year tenure as president and CEO of The CSL Group. During his three decades at CSL, Jones worked with CSLers around the world to transform what was a Great Lakes-focused shipping business into the largest owner and operator of self-unloading ships in the world. Under his leadership, CSL expanded beyond Canada and the Americas to Australia, Asia and Europe. Effective April 1, 2017, Louis Martel, president, CSL International and executive vice-president, CSL Group, will assume the role of CEO. Martel joined Canada Steamship Lines as a Naval Architect in 1997 and transferred to CSL Americas in 2003 where he became vice-president, technical operations. He took the helm of Canada Steamship Lines as president in April 2012 and was promoted to executive vice-president, CSL Group, and president, Canada Steamship Lines in January 2014. A year later, he was appointed president, CSL International.
Spiroflow Systems named Don Mackrill chief operating officer. In his new role, Mackrill will have complete operational control for all powder handling projects from engineering through production, customer delivery, and customer service. He is a 21-year veteran of the powder handling industry, having served as COO and president of Control and Metering before joining Spiroflow in April 2013. Since joining the Spiroflow team he has held management roles in sales and production.
