Who’s on the move: April 6, 2020

Derek Rickard

Cimcorp has promoted Derek Rickard, formerly distribution systems sales manager, to director of sales. In this new role, Rickard will be responsible for aligning the North American sales team with the Cimcorp Group’s global corporate strategy for its two main business domains, the tire industry and consumer product distribution. He has more than 20 years of experience in the supply chain industry, having worked on many of the first fully automated picking systems in North America, with some of the largest projects exceeding one million cases per week.

Gary Scott

Gary Scott has been named global CEO of WernerCo, a manufacturer and distributor of access products, fall protection equipment, secure storage systems and light duty construction equipment. Scott will start April 16th and will work out of WernerCo’s headquarters in Itasca, Illinois. Before joining WernerCo, Scott was global president, Floor Care Division for TTI. Before that, Gary was president of Chamberlain and Heathco, Americas at The Chamberlain Group, Inc. He also spent over 10 years at Newell Rubbermaid in various leadership roles across commercial and consumer products in both the U.S. and Europe. Scott started his career as R&D engineer at Stanley Black & Decker in the UK.

Greg Cook

Motion Industries, Inc. has promoted Greg Cook to executive vice-president and CFO. Cook joined Motion Industries as senior vice-president and CFO in November 2016 and also added responsibility for corporate strategy functions. In his expanded role,  Cook will continue leading these current responsibilities, but will also now take on oversight of Motion’s Information Technologies function. Cook has more than 29 years of experience in the manufacturing and distribution markets, and before starting with Motion Industries, spent 18 years with Shaw Industries. He began his professional career in public accounting at Arthur Andersen in Atlanta, Georgia. A CPA licensed in Georgia, Cook is involved in a number of industry and finance associations, including PTDA, AICPA, and ASCPA. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Bob Jones University.
