Markel 

Markel, the insurance operations within Markel Group Inc., announced that Grant Smith will lead its transport and logistics team. 

In his role, Smith will be responsible for defining the underwriting strategy for the transport and logistics team, centered on driving sustainable, profitable growth. Smith will also be tasked with expanding market share, driving product development and further establishing Markel as a market leader in transport and logistics. 

Smith takes on his new role in addition to his responsibilities as director of marine and energy liabilities – a role he was appointed to in August 2024.

Nulogy 

Nulogy, a provider of collaborative manufacturing supply chain solutions, announced that Josh Betz, a strategic sales executive with more than 15 years of leadership experience in the technology sector, has joined Nulogy’s executive leadership team as chief revenue officer. 

In his new role, Betz will be responsible for aligning Nulogy’s teams in driving revenue growth, maximizing profitability and upscaling Nulogy’s impact in manufacturing supply chains around the globe.
