Who’s on the move: July 20, 2020

Kathleen Miller will join the Tecsys board of directors. Her appointment will be confirmed by shareholders in September. Miller brings 30 years of experience in public and high-growth private SaaS, Fintech and other technology companies. She is an expert in global expansion, and brings a deep understanding of the entire M&A lifecycle. She is CFO at Nitro, Inc.

As part of a restructuring, that sees its workforce reduced by 27 percent or 500 positions, the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) is letting go two members of its senior management team. Kim Stangeby, vice-president and chief strategy officer and interim vice-president, human resources, and Scott Collier, vice-president, customer and terminal services.

Their portfolios will be redistributed across the organization, including under the newly established COO, Craig Bradbrook (formerly vice-president, aviation services), and in a new centre of commercial excellence led by CFO, Ian Clarke. The GTAA will also complete a search for a new chief human resources officer.
Sebastian Mikosz has joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as senior vice-president for member and external relations. Most recently, Mikosz was group managing director and CEO of Kenya Airways, from 2017 to 2019, during which time he served on the IATA Board of Governors. Previously, he was CEO of LOT Polish Airlines. Mikosz will report to the director general and CEO. He replaces Paul Steele, who retired from IATA in October 2019. A Polish national, Mikosz is a graduate of the Institute of Political Studies in France with a Master’s degree in Economics and Finance. His career also includes the positions of vice-president at the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency, managing director of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Poland and founder of the online brokerage house Fast Trade. Mikosz speaks Polish, English, French and Russian.
