Who’s on the move: June 17, 2019

Hamilton Port Authority has hired Jeremy Dunn as its new commercial vice-president. Before joining HPA, Dunn served in successive leadership roles at The Miller Group. His most recent role was as general manager of Miller Maintenance, responsible for managing and growing Millerâs highway maintenance business in Ontario. Dunn earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from Queenâs University, and holds a Masterâs Certificate in Project Management.
Michael Zahra has been appointed CEO of Drone Delivery Canada. Former CEO and director, Tony Di Benedetto, will move into the position of business strategy. Zahra who previously held the role of senior vice-president of operations and strategy at DDC previously held positions as president of Staples Advantage Canada and president of Yahoo Canada. He also brings close to 20 years experience in various Board positions. Zahra has a BASc. in Electrical Engineering, an MBA from City University, Seattle and holds the P.Log designation from the Logistics Institute.

Mike Tegtmeyer has joined AIT Worldwide Logistics as the company’s vice-president, global infrastructure. He will leverage nearly three decades of operations, systems architecture and data security experience in his new role. Tegtmeyer will report to CIO Ray Fennelly and oversee the worldwide management of AIT’s technology infrastructure, hardware platforms and network security. Tegtmeyer guided numerous high-profile security, network and telecom projects working for Brunswick Corporation before serving as director, network operations for FTD Companies, Inc. Most recently, he was vice-president, information systems and security for Chicago-based Rewards Network.
ELOKON has appointed MichaĆ Makaruk CEO of its Polish subsidiary, ELOKON Polska Sp. z o.o. Makaruk has more than 20 years of experience across diverse international industries, including packaging and automotive. Before joining ELOKON, he served in a wide range of leadership roles in sales, project management, production, and operations management. Makaruk holds a Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in business administration from the University of Illinois Urbana. Â
