Tompkins International has named David Latona executive vice-president of material handling integration. Latona, who previously served as vice president of the firm, has more than 30 years of supply chain experience, specializing in distribution centre design and optimization. Before joining Tompkins, Latona was a partner and senior vice-president of Vector Design, Inc., a material handling integrator, as well as co-founder and managing director of a third-party logistics operator in the Port of Los Angeles. He also co-founded Polygon Solutions. Latona will succeed Kelly Reed, who is retiring after more than 20 years with Tompkins, including leading the firm’s material handling integration business unit for the past 11 years. Before joining Tompkins, Reed served over 20 years as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Randy Hanson has retired as president and CEO of International Road Dynamics Inc. IRD’s current COO and executive vice-presiednt, Rish Malhotra, succeeds him as president and CEO. Malhotra is a professional engineer and also holds an MBA in technology and international business management. Malhotra has been with IRD for the past 12 years. He is a well-respected professional in the ITS industry and also serves on various industry boards.
Logistyx Technologieshas hired two new vice-presidents: John Berg, vice-president of strategic alliances, and Alain Breillatt, vice-president of product marketing. Berg brings nearly 30 years of logistics, transportation and supply chain experience to Logistyx. As former owner and president of ProShip Software, Berg helped shape the TMS Enterprise software space. Before ProShip, he held development roles at ADSI, Olson Logistics, as well as 17 years at UPS. Former vice-president of product management at ProShip Software, Breillatt, who specializes in product management, marketing and technology, brings a global perspective from fostering industrial innovation at Illinois Tool Works to creating novel analytics for CPG and retail clients at Nielsen.
