HAMILTON, Ontario: Fluke Transportation Group, a Hamilton-based trucking and warehousing company, has leased over 18,580sqm (200,000sqf) of office, garage and outdoor storage space from the Hamilton Port Authority.

In a joint statement, the ten-year deal was called a “true partnership arrangement for warehouse space that allows both companies to share in the success of the business.”

The facility, at 450 Sherman Ave North, underwent upgrades worth $1 million before it was leased to the trucking company. Fluke made some changes as well.

“We have made substantial investments to create a facility that will allow us to efficiently serve our customers and grow our company,” says Fluke president Jack Mayes. “At every turn, the Hamilton Port Authority was responsive to our needs, looked to offer customized solutions and worked to negotiate details that were of mutual benefit.”

Fluke Transport Group operates a fleet of 130 tractors with a trailer fleet of 350 refrigerated, heated and dry box units.
