Seegrid Corporation has introduced the Seegrid Palion AMR product family. It is a new line of mobile robots for automated material flow.
Palion is the new label for all its new and forthcoming autonomous mobile robots.
The first in the family is the Palion Pallet Truck with pallet staging and auto-charging capabilities.
The new pallet truck includes lane staging capabilities – autonomously identifying, building, and depleting lanes for precise, efficient pick-up and drop-off of palletized goods.
The new pallet truck also has Auto-Charge, which automates the scheduling, dispatch, and charging to keep operations running 24/7.
“Now more than ever, our customers need flexible and reliable end-to-end automation solutions to safely move materials in their dynamic environments,” said Jeff Christensen, Seegrid’s vice-president of product.
“Seegrid Palion AMRs are designed to help customers improve safety, increase throughput, and address labour shortages.”
Seegrid recently reported it doubled revenue year-over-year for two years in a row, and the company projects continued increased growth in and demand for its automation solutions in the year ahead.
In September 2020 the company announced it had secured US$52 million in capital for a previously announced 40 percent boost in the size of its workforce. The investment was also to fund new product development.
“Seegrid is having a fantastic year,” said Jim Rock, the company’s CEO, at the time.
“We expect to double revenues again this year and are seeing increased customer demand as the Covid-19 pandemic is driving many companies to greater use of automation across the material handling industry.”
