Maersk Canada dominates in international business awards

High-achieving organizations and executives around the world have been recognized as Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners in The 20th Annual International Business Awards.
Twenty-three Canadian organizations impressed the judges in this year’s competition.
Maersk won seven Stevie Awards; one Gold, three Silver, and three Bronze Stevie Awards, which was more than any other Canadian organization this year. Maersk was honored with a Gold Stevie Award for Achievement in Environment, Social, and Government for their community-based environmental awareness and education programs. It won won Silver and Bronze Stevie Awards for Achievement in Corporate Social Responsibility and Achievement in Thought Leadership.
The second most awarded Canadian organization was Canadian Tire Corporation Limited (CT) of Toronto.
Other Stevie Award winners in Canada in the supply chain business include Geotab Inc. out of Oakville, Ontario, OTTO Motors from Kitchener, Ontario).

It won for its advancement in autonomous material handling solutions, addressing the challenges of labour shortages, safety, and productivity in manufacturing and warehouse facilities worldwide. Stevie Award judges commended the solution for its “remarkable innovation, safety, and market performance.”
“OTTO Lifter was only introduced to the manufacturing industry last year, but it is already transforming and unlocking new material handling workflows, solving top challenges for manufacturers worldwide, and winning prestigious awards,” said Jay Judkowitz, vice-president of product at OTTO Motors. “We are honoured that our autonomous forklift was recognized for its outstanding performance with a Gold Stevie Award.”
All organizations worldwide are eligible to compete in the IBAs, and may submit nominations in a wide range of categories for achievement in management, marketing, public relations, customer service, human resources, new products and services, technology, websites, apps, events, and more.
Winners were selected from more than 3,700 nominations submitted by organizations in 61 nations. More than 230 executives worldwide participated on 11 juries to determine the Stevie winners.
The awards will be presented during a gala event in Rome, Italy on October 13, 2023.
