Marsha Lindsay, vice president legal services and general counsel for Purolator, was recognized by the African-American Managing Partners & General Counsel of the National Bar Association as the 2017 Canadian In-House Counsel of the Year. Lindsay received the award for the role she plays in encouraging, mentoring and inspiring members of the visible minority community working in the Canadian legal profession. “Purolator is extremely proud of the recognition Marsha has received from her peers in the legal community, and we congratulate her on receipt of this well-deserved award,” said Ken Johnston, the company’s senior vice president and chief human resources officer. “Her passion for diversity is exhibited within our company through her leadership on Purolator’s National Diversity and Inclusion Council – which champions diversity initiatives across our organization – and this passion obviously extends to her work outside the company as well.”

Bonnie Voldeng, director of marketing at FedEx Services, is the 2017 Transportation Marketing & Sales Association (TMSA) Marketing Executive of the Year. Each year, this award recognizes a senior-level leader who has demonstrated strategic thinking and intelligent execution of marketing initiatives to meet the business goals of their organization. “Bonnie exemplifies what TMSA encourages our members responsible for marketing to aspire to,” said Brian Everett, TMSA’s CEO. “Those involved in the selection process were thoroughly impressed with how effectively Voldeng was able to leverage her expertise and leadership skills into go-to-market and cross-channel integration to bring results to the FedEx organization.” This award is part of TMSA’s mission to encourage professionalism and to provide recognition to marketing, sales, and communications professionals in the transportation and logistics industries.

Major organizational changes have been announced by Cimcorp, manufacturer and integrator of turnkey robotic gantry-based order fulfillment and tire-handling solutions. Three senior executives have been appointed to Cimcorp’s group executive management, two sales units have been merged and a more highly integrated software department has been formed. Tero Peltomäki has been appointed to the role of vice president of business development, with a focus on product development and developing the co-operation on the corporate level. Marjo Rimpelä becomes vice president of finance & administration, while Rick Trigatti continues as North America president of Cimcorp. The sales operation will now be headed up by Kai Tuomisaari, vice president of sales. The software department will be led by Pasi Kankaanpää, director of software, and Sakari Mikkola, head of software development.
