DQS acquires Comprehensive Logistics to expand North American supply chain platform

DQS Solutions & Staffing has acquired Comprehensive Logistics, Inc. as part of a move to expand a national logistics and transportation platform supporting manufacturing and supply chain operations across North America.

The deal brings together DQS, Comprehensive Logistics and McLaren Transport in what the companies described as a collaborative, merger-style integration, while each business continues operating under its existing brand.

The combined organization said it will strengthen end-to-end capabilities across workforce solutions, warehousing and transportation services, serving a range of industries across the continent.

Comprehensive Logistics operates more than 20 facilities across 17 states with more than five million square feet of warehouse space and provides sequencing, transportation, warehousing and value-added logistics services. McLaren Transport, based in Detroit, adds cross-border freight expertise and transportation services supporting manufacturing and industrial customers.

“This acquisition represents a full-circle moment,” said Joshua Morris, CEO and co-founder of DQS Solutions & Staffing. “Having previously served as the plant manager of the CLI Dearborn Plant as well as on the CLI leadership team, I witnessed firsthand the company’s tremendous potential. Our goal is to build on CLI’s strong foundation while investing in the people, facilities and expanded services our clients need.”

Brad Constantini, chairman of the board and founding family owner of Comprehensive Logistics, said the deal expands the company’s capabilities while maintaining its operating culture.

“CLI has always been execution-driven and customer-focused. Joining DQS under the leadership of CEO Joshua Morris is a strategic step that expands our capabilities and reach while preserving the discipline and culture that define CLI,” said Constantini.

DQS said the combined organization will operate under AXVOR, the parent company supporting DQS Solutions & Staffing, Comprehensive Logistics and McLaren Transport as part of an integrated logistics platform.

“Our clients can expect seamless continuity with added capabilities,” Morris added. “All existing CLI contracts and relationships remain in place, now supported by additional resources from DQS and McLaren Transport.”
